Contraindications
An allergology consultation is a diagnostic appointment and, in the vast majority of cases, there are no contraindications to attending it. Restrictions may apply to skin tests, which the doctor may order during the appointment or at a follow-up visit:
- taking antihistamines — a break of approximately 5 days before testing is required,
- taking systemic glucocorticosteroids,
- active, extensive skin disease at the planned test site,
- pregnancy — skin testing is assessed individually,
- acute inflammation or infection.

Who provides allergology consultations at Wyspa Medycyny Przyjaznej?
She graduated from the Faculty of Medicine at the Medical University of Gdańsk in 2008. She completed specialist training in dermatology and venereology at the Dermatology Department of the Provincial Specialist Hospital in Elbląg from 2010 to 2015, and subsequently qualified as a specialist in allergology at the Department of Allergology, Dermatology and Venereology of the University Clinical Centre in Gdańsk.
