G-Shot – aesthetic gynaecology
G-Shot is an aesthetic gynaecology procedure involving the injection of hyaluronic acid into the anterior vaginal wall, in the area commonly referred to as the G-spot. The aim is to enhance and enlarge this area, which, according to patient reports, may affect the sensation of stimulation. The procedure is performed on an outpatient basis under local anaesthesia. What does the G-Shot procedure involve?
G-Shot involves injecting hyaluronic acid into the anterior vaginal wall, in the anatomical area commonly referred to as the G-spot. The injected product enlarges this area and may increase its sensitivity to mechanical stimulation. The effect results from local tissue augmentation, not from a change in innervation.
The procedure is not surgery. It is performed with a needle, under local anaesthesia, on an outpatient basis. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes, and the patient returns home the same day.
Individual results may vary considerably. Eligibility assessment, discussion of expectations and explanation of the procedure’s limitations take place during the medical consultation.
Who may consider G-Shot?
The procedure may be considered by women who:
- wish to increase the sensitivity of the anterior vaginal wall to stimulation,
- experience reduced satisfaction with their intimate life and are looking for a non-surgical option,
- are in good health and have no active infection in the treatment area,
- have realistic expectations regarding the scope and duration of the results.
The procedure is not a treatment for sexual dysfunction of psychological, hormonal or neurological origin. If reduced sexual satisfaction has another cause, the doctor may recommend a different approach or referral to another specialist.
Contraindications to G-Shot
- active vaginal infection or inflammation in the treatment area,
- pregnancy and breastfeeding,
- autoimmune disease during an active flare-up,
- confirmed allergy to hyaluronic acid or any component of the product,
- blood-clotting disorders or the use of potent anticoagulant medication.

How is the procedure performed?
The doctor takes a medical history, discusses expectations, explains the risks and limitations of the procedure, and assesses the indications and possible contraindications.
Local anaesthesia is applied before the procedure to reduce discomfort during injection.
The doctor injects the HA product into the anterior vaginal wall. The injection itself takes several minutes, while the full appointment, including preparation, takes approximately 30 minutes.
The doctor explains the aftercare instructions, including the recommended period of sexual abstinence and protection of the treatment area. The patient returns home the same day.
Results and duration
The effects of G-Shot result from tissue augmentation with injected hyaluronic acid. They may include increased mechanical sensitivity of the anterior vaginal wall. The effects typically last approximately 6–12 months, depending on individual factors and the metabolism of the product. The intensity and nature of the effects are subjective and may vary significantly between patients.
The procedure may be repeated after the effect of the product has subsided. The decision to repeat it is made jointly by the patient and the doctor.
Recovery
Temporary redness or mild discomfort at the injection site may occur and usually subsides within a few days. Post-procedure recommendations include:
- avoiding sexual activity for 7–10 days after the procedure,
- protecting the treatment area from mechanical trauma,
- following the doctor’s individual recommendations.

What risks are associated with G-Shot?
Possible adverse effects include temporary discomfort, mild swelling or redness at the injection site, which usually subside within a few days. Less commonly, bruising, infection requiring medical contact or a reaction to the product may occur. The use of certified hyaluronic acid by an experienced doctor reduces the risk but does not eliminate it completely. The doctor discusses the full risk profile before the procedure.
Is G-Shot painful?
The procedure is performed under local anaesthesia, which significantly reduces discomfort. Some patients feel mild pinpricks or pressure during injection. The intensity of these sensations varies individually.
How long do the results last?
The effects associated with the presence of hyaluronic acid usually last approximately 6–12 months, depending on individual metabolism. Subjective sensations after the procedure may vary considerably between patients. The procedure may be repeated after the effect of the product has subsided.
When can sexual activity be resumed?
Sexual activity should be avoided for 7–10 days after the procedure. The doctor determines the exact recommendations and recovery period individually after the procedure.
Does G-Shot treat sexual dysfunction?
G-Shot is not a treatment for sexual dysfunction. The procedure may affect the mechanical sensitivity of the anterior vaginal wall, but reduced sexual satisfaction may have psychological, hormonal, neurological or relationship-related causes that require a different approach. The doctor discusses whether the procedure is appropriate in the individual case.
