What is SCROTOX?

SCROTOX, also called scrotal botox, is an aesthetic urology procedure during which botulinum toxin is injected into the skin of the scrotum. The toxin temporarily blocks nerve signals transmitted to muscles and glands, leading to their relaxation. As a result, the skin of the scrotum becomes smoother and less wrinkled, and sweat production in this area is reduced.

The effects of botulinum toxin are temporary — they usually last for 3–6 months, after which the procedure may be repeated. The procedure does not affect sexual function or fertility.

Who is SCROTOX for?

  • men who want to improve the aesthetics and smoothness of the scrotal skin,
  • people struggling with excessive sweating, or hyperhidrosis, of the intimate area,
  • patients experiencing discomfort related to excessive tension of the scrotal muscles,
  • men looking for a fast, outpatient aesthetic procedure without long recovery.
A urology consultation is required before the procedure. The doctor assesses the patient’s health condition, discusses indications, possible effects and potential contraindications. Qualification is decided individually by the urologist.

What does the SCROTOX procedure involve?

  1. Consultation and qualification. The urologist assesses indications, discusses expectations and possible contraindications.
  2. Preparation for the procedure. The scrotal skin is disinfected. Depending on the patient’s needs, an anaesthetic cream or local injections are used.
  3. Botulinum toxin injections. A series of precise injections into the scrotal skin. The procedure takes approx. 30–45 minutes.
  4. Post-procedure recommendations. The patient returns home the same day with simple instructions for the next few days.
  5. Effects. Visible after 7–14 days. They last individually for approx. 3–6 months.

Recovery after SCROTOX

  • return to work and everyday activities is possible on the same day,
  • for 3–5 days it is recommended to avoid sauna, hot baths and intense physical effort,
  • minor bruising or slight redness may appear at the injection sites — these resolve spontaneously within 1–2 days,
  • sexual activity: the doctor provides individual recommendations.

Contraindications to SCROTOX

  • allergy or hypersensitivity to botulinum toxin or its ingredients,
  • active infections or inflammatory skin conditions in the scrotal area,
  • blood clotting disorders or use of blood-thinning medication,
  • neuromuscular diseases, for example myasthenia gravis or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis,
  • uncontrolled severe systemic diseases.

Frequently asked questions

What is SCROTOX?

SCROTOX is a urological procedure involving the injection of botulinum toxin into the skin of the scrotum. It smooths the skin, reduces wrinkles and decreases excessive sweating in the intimate area. Effects last approx. 3–6 months.

How much does SCROTOX cost?

The current price list is available on the aesthetic urology page. The doctor discusses the price individually during the consultation.

Does SCROTOX hurt?

The procedure is usually well tolerated by patients. Depending on sensitivity, an anaesthetic cream or local injections are used. Some patients feel minimal stinging during the procedure — the discomfort is short-lasting.

How long do the effects last?

The effects of botulinum toxin in the scrotal area last individually for approx. 3–6 months. After this time, the effect gradually wears off and the procedure may be repeated.

Does SCROTOX affect erection and fertility?

No. Botulinum toxin used in the SCROTOX procedure acts only on the muscles and sweat glands of the scrotal skin. It does not affect erectile function, ejaculation or fertility. The doctor discusses these issues in detail during the consultation.

When are the effects of SCROTOX visible?

The first effects are usually visible 7–14 days after the procedure, when the botulinum toxin has fully taken effect. The full aesthetic effect is observed after approx. 2 weeks.

Can the procedure be repeated?

Yes. Once the effects wear off, usually after 3–6 months, the procedure may be repeated. Many patients choose regular sessions to maintain the effect. The doctor determines the frequency of repeat procedures individually.

How long is the recovery?

Recovery after SCROTOX is very short. You can return to work and everyday activities on the same day. Sauna, hot baths and intense physical effort should be avoided for 3–5 days.
